I am running an open, informal, fortnightly community craft workshop in Kings Heath based on creating fun creatures out of socks. If you or anyone you know might benefit from a friendly, relaxing social environment or enjoy doing a bit of craft - come along on Wednesday 10th February!

Want to have tea and biscuits and meet people? Or just want to make some cool stuff? Make sockmonkeys, sock animals, plush toys, keyrings, or share new ideas over time. Keep, gift, exhibit or sell your creations. Or just have a laugh at each other's sewing!

Starts:
Wednesday 10th February
6.30 - 9.30 pm
Kings Heath Community Centre
8 Heathfield Road
Kings Heath

The workshops require little skill - but at this point are informal and do require a certain level of ability and independence as they involve sewing. People requiring one-to-one support should be accompanied. Stressed? Anxious? Health problems? Isolated? Taking part in an activity like this may be invaluable.

Cost is £3 and although materials are provided it would be useful to bring a pair of socks - old or new - reduced cost or free for those who are unable to pay.

It's not knitting, it's sewing. They might be able to teach you how to make a ninja out of some socks...?

Here's one Daz.
But they're $15 each plus shipping, and I'm not even sure they ship abroad.

A sock ninja sounds awesome. I'm sure it would be pretty easy to do one.
